Russell M. Canham, MD, MCS
Owner/Main Speaker
Dr. Russell M. Canham is one of the highest rated specialists in his fields. He focuses on patient care first, and with each unique patient he integrates all treatment options to provide the best possible care. He is a board certified physician, trained in Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine, and is further specialized in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
He has been treating patients for over 20 years and trained in medical school, internship, residency and two fellowships at the top medical centers including UT Health Science Center in Houston, UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis. He also completed a Masters at UT Southwestern focused in clinic trial design, public heath, and epidemiology.
He treats heart conditions including heart failure, coronary disease, vascular disease, sudden death prevention, placement and management of defibrillators, pacemakers and treatment of abnormal rhythms with ablation, advanced lipid testing and treatment, and genetic abnormalities . Dr. Canham also obtained extensive training with echocardiogram, nuclear stress testing and vascular studies. He is affiliated with the Methodist Hospital system in Dallas, Texas, where he serves as director for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
He has published many medical journal articles and chapters in cardiology books. Among his honors are Eagle Scout, Caring Spirit Award, and Patient’s Choice Award for many years in a row. He has also received D-Magazines Best Doctor award for 10 years straight from 2015 through 2024. He is active in his community, and is blessed to live with his wonderful wife and two children.
